Track Name: DMF/GP
we went out
one night
i wasn't feeling but i
figured it was the right thing
to do despite
feeling so ashamed the past
week i could have died

but i'm glad
i did not; i went, bought a
four-pack and went to
yours to talk to some
semi-familiar faces
and i missed some of your
in-jokes but i held on
to the gist of what was happening

i stood up and we were
submerged in noise
and bobby danced like
he was joyous and there was
nobody watching
and the air smelt like coca-cola,
petrol and urine
the fog ran through our hair
and one man kept clapping

i looked at the ground
and i just swayed
kept my laughter to myself
just in case someone
kept looking, just in
case someone back home
found out i wasn't always angry, or
sittin alone and reading

spirits with ice, and
too many lights and happy eyes
i got bored, so i walked outside
and it started raining
you came up, got impatient til you
found out the bar was shut, and
anyway the sun'd be comin up soon

as we arrived back home, i realised
what matters to me, not loud music and
lukewarm beer telling you
you're gonna sleep well
it is the importance of good people
